Jackie Bradford and his family began investing in multi-family properties about 25 years ago and through his hands-on expertise, Jackie began specializing in brokering the sale of multi-family properties. They bought and renovated duplexes, quadraplexes, and triplexes all over Gwinnett County. After a few years, they decided that if they wanted to make the impact they desired, they needed to centralize their properties into one area and transform the entire neighborhood. They began selling the properties they owned in various locations and using a 1031 tax free exchange from their proceeds to buy duplexes in the neighborhoods of Knightsbridge and Southgate off of Hurricane Shoals Road in Lawrenceville. The neighborhood had become very run down over the years. Some of the buildings were condemned and the duplexes were barely visible through all the brush and overgrowth. Each building was completely renovated and transformed from the inside out and, before long, the entire aesthetics of the neighborhood had been altered. The Bradford family had taken a run-down almost condemned slum and transformed it into the most prestigious duplex community in Georgia. Jackie’s sister, Loretta Allen and her husband Sid, managed the family properties for 12 years until they decided to retire in 2003. Michelle Alverson, Jackie’s office manager of 15 years, took over the property management and set up and on-site leasing office. The management company they established, Atlanta’s Premier Townhomes & Duplexes, now manages about 95% of the all the properties in Knightsbridge Square I & II and Southgate II. Their commitment to their vision and dream paid off tenfold through hard work and dedication. The management company has branched out and now manages properties in the communities of Parkside, Kingsgate, and Avalon in Snellville.
Sharon Brooks came on board with Atlanta’s Premier Townhomes & Duplexes in 2002 as a leasing agent. Her interests changed, however, and she became more attracted to the real estate company. She and Jackie teamed up and began working together on several different large real estate deals which include the sale of 22 quads in Cherokee Court subdivision in Lawrenceville, 10 Duplexes in Norcross, 4 Sixplexes in Castlegate subdivision and 52 Townhomes in Sugarhill Place Townhomes subdivision in Sugar Hill, 50+ Quads & Duplexes in the Avalon community in Snellville, and 19 Duplexes in Martin Heights subdivision in Lawrenceville. Sharon grew under Jackie’s tutelage and guidance and has developed into one of the top agents in the multi-family investment market in Atlanta.
